These gel nail stickers should last at least for 14 days, when using our 'how to apply' guide and take step-by-step.

These gel nail stickers will come in a package of 20 nails of various sizes toe ensure that it will fit any nail size. These nails are very little flexible - so option will be to resize them before applying them on the nails. Please use a smaller sticker then your nails, to make sure will keep some space between the sticker and your nailcuticle

Sore them in the original bag and use a sticker to seal the gel nail stickers. Make sure you hide the gel nail stickers from light or they can cure under the sun-/ roomlight overtime.

Gimeau nailstickers are designed with a domed curve intended to mimic painted gel and prevent this issue, however proper application is key. When applying, try to leave a little bit of space at the cuticle, and use a top coat to help seal down the cuticle edge. It’s very important to press down the sides with the wood stick extremely well before curing. You can also use the warmth of your fingertips to press them down and try to get a better seal. If using a top coat, avoid flooding the cuticles as this can also cause hair to get caught when the cuticle edge of the top coat begins to separate from the skin.

1. Nailbeds weren’t properly prepped/cleaned prior to application. Ensure the nailbeds are completely clean and dry by using the provided alcohol pad. Make sure any old polish or acrylic residues are fully removed. Trim excess dead skin and push back cuticles.
2. Fingers lifting the strips from the plastic sheet weren’t cleaned/too oily and broke down the adhesive .Use the provided alcohol pad on the finger pads as well as the nails.
3. Stickers may have been handled too much or over-stretched, causing a breakdown of the adhesive.Try to warm the stickers in the plastic before removing them if you plan to stretch them, to make them more pliable.
4. Nailbeds are naturally very oily, preventing good adhesion of the strip. (This is more likely if you have oily/combination skin.)
Try using a nail dehydrator product to strip those excess oils out of your nailbeds prior to application.
5. Strips were applied overlapping skin or too close to the cuticle.Try to leave a tiny gap at the cuticle and make sure the strip isn’t touching any skin on the sides.
6. Acetone was applied to the edges, getting under the strip and breaking down the adhesive. Acetone can cause damage to the adhesive.
7. Cuticle oil was used to push the cuticles back, but not all oil was removed prior to application. Wash hands thoroughly in warm soapy water to remove all oil residue, and dry thoroughly. Oils prevent adhesion of the strips to the nail bed, so it’s best to avoid using cuticle oils until after application is complete.
8. A non-UV/non-gel top coat was used over the nail strips. Many brands misleadingly label their top coats as "gel" even though they aren't. Only use gel top coats that require curing under an LED or UV Lamp.
9. Strips were applied outdoors in hot/sunny weather. Apply your strips indoors where you are not in direct sunlight which can cause strips to prematurely harden and become inflexible, or buildup of sweat and oils on the nailbed can repel the adhesive on application.

1. The strips were exposed to sustained water exposure shortly after application. Avoid bathing, swimming, pot scrubbing, or other activities requiring sustained water exposure for a minimum of 12 hours after application.
2. Using a lot of topcoat, will make the sticker heavier.
3. Space between sticker and nail cuticle. Please make sure you keep a space between the cuticle by using a smaller sticker than your your nails.

Please check before applying the gel nail stickers if you don't have any allergic reaction on gel-polish gellac, fake nails, any type of glue, UV-ledlamp. Make sure you do this in a clean and safe enviroment/ workspace so the products do not touch any other objects or surrounds then your nails.

Are nail stickers a risk for acrylic allergy?
Gimeau's nail stickers are free of HEMA and DI-HEMA. Additionally, nail stickers are not liquid. This means that, unless you apply the products too close to the cuticle, they are less likely to penetrate the skin and cause an allergic reaction. HEMA is present in the Gimeau topcoat. The topcoat is formulated so that the acrylates are less volatile due to its thicker consistency. When curing the topcoat, ensure that it is no longer sticky after curing. This minimizes the chance of an allergy.

What is an acrylic allergy?

An acrylic allergy is a form of contact allergy. Acrylates is a collective term for various types of plastics. In some nail products, acrylate types such as HEMA and DI-HEMA are used. These acrylates are known to be highly allergenic. In these nail products, these acrylic particles ensure that they bind and become a cohesive whole.

If the acrylic particles are not properly cured under the UV/LED lamp, there is a chance that these particles may penetrate the skin. Your immune system may then perceive this as an enemy and react, leading to the development of an allergy.

How can you reduce the risk of developing an allergy? Choose a nail product that is free of HEMA and DI-HEMA. These acrylates are highly allergenic. Avoiding these two types significantly lowers the risk of developing an allergy. Additionally, the following measures are important to consider when opting for a DIY manicure:

  • Always work hygienically.
  • Wash your hands, clean the tools, and the surface where you will apply the gel polish.
  • Read and follow the instructions carefully.
  • Close products tightly after use.
  • Mixing products is not recommended.
  • Do not store products near food or beverages.
  • Avoid eating at the work table.
  • Keep products away from direct sunlight and in a dry, cool environment.
  • Use products at a distance from the cuticle to reduce the risk of them getting under the skin.

What should I do if I have an allergic reaction?
Ensure that the products do not come into contact with your skin or eyes at all times. If you notice redness, always consult a doctor.
